Good job to Bill and Steve. This is a good article for everyone to read and get informed of what's going on with the NCI. I think these two people make really good suggestions about the involvement of the public and the success of this program. I like the idea of "public power," I think the public's opinion or decision are very importan in the planning process because it will afffect in the final results. Personally, I think each community needs to participate more in projects that are going to be beneficial to their people and need to make their voices to be heard for a better tomorrow.

Bill and Steve make a good point it stating that there is no power in the public. I personally believe money speaks more then anything. The community gets involved when the plan directly affects them. For example, lets suppose that they were to revitalize downtown and it brought more people and money for downtown. There are poor neighborhoods downtown, which perhaps they cannot afford to pay for more expensive things around their community. Revitalizing downtown can cause even more poorness, and homelessness. Honestly I never taught of this, until now. Overall it can affect the community negatively. I wonder if those in charged have thought about this idea at all?
